Cockroaches can trigger allergies and worsen asthma symptoms. Their saliva, feces, and shed body parts contain proteins that can cause an allergic reaction.

Symptoms of cockroach allergy include:

  • Runny nose

  • Congestion

  • Sneezing



  • Itchy eyes

  • Coughing

  • Wheezing

  • Skin rash

Cockroach allergy is a common trigger of year round allergic and asthma .It can worsen asthma symptoms in children and adults  patients advised to take steps to control cockroaches in their homes to reduce their risk of allergic reactions.
